Is there a cost for getting my quotes?
Absolutely not. It is a free online service where you can get unbiased quotes - sorted by price - for auto (including antique vehicles), property, motorcycle, business or RV insurance. There is no cost to use the online quote service or to call our toll-free customer service number for help.
I'm interested in one of the quotes I received. Are there fees?
No. The quotes you get from the online quote comparison service are based on the details you provide and information from the insurance companies - nothing else. There are no charges added to the quote if you complete an application for coverage online although we do earn a broker commission if you purchase insurance through us. Our quoting service is free to you, regardless of whether you buy or not.
How do I compare quotes?
It's easy!!! On the left hand side of your screen select the insurance product that interests you and fill out and complete the steps of the online questionnaire, then click on "Get quotes!"
It's really that easy. And once you're on the quote comparison page depending on the insurance provider you select, apply online or call to proceed with your purchase.
What do I do if I'm interested?
It depends on the insurance company you've selected.
If the company offers the "Call Us" option, phone us here at 1-866-456-6620, during our regular business hours, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, to speak to a licensed insurance broker. The broker will confirm your rate and discuss any questions you may have.
If the "Request for Coverage" feature is offered, you can complete your insurance request and enter your details right away over the Internet. Your details will then be forwarded to a licensed broker. Once your quote details have been confirmed, the broker will contact you by telephone or email.

I'm moving and I want to get a quote for my insurance?
If you have the Postal Code for you new home you can get a quote through the KTX Insurance Solutions website by clicking on the 'Home Insurance' button on the left hand side and entering in your home details.
I found a rate that is lower elsewhere. Why is that?
We offer quotes from some of Canada's leading insurance companies - but not all of them. If you have a rate through a group program or enjoy discounts from your current provider because you're a long-standing customer, you may find a better rate elsewhere.
I can't find my vehicle in the picklist. Why?
Most vehicle makes and models are available on the website. However, the following scenarios may occur:
- Your vehicle's model year is older than the oldest year available in the list. Continue with your quote, only select the same or closest model of the first available year. The reason for this is that often when the car is slightly older (say from the late 80's or early 90's), the premium difference between one year over the other (for example between a 1990 and 1991 model) is often minimal.
When you are confirming your rate with the licensed insurance broker, they can update the year of your vehicle and let you of any rate adjustments.
- It's a brand new vehicle. If the vehicle you're looking to get a quote for is brand new on the market, select the same or closest model from the previous year and continue with your quote. Then, when you are confirming your rate with the licensed insurance broker, they can update the year of your vehicle. They will also at this time let you know of any rate adjustments, if it is necessary.
- Your vehicle is an antique, classic or collectible. If this describes your vehicle you may be able to get a quote online. Simply select antique auto from the left hand side and fill out the questionnaire.

How do I know what auto coverage to choose?
The online quote comparison site makes sure your quote includes all the mandatory coverages legally required in your province. The others are optional and should be selected based on your individual needs. You can always refer to your existing auto policy for some hints, or you can confirm your choices with a licensed insurance broker when you purchase your policy.

Does completing the Policy change form online, automatically put my policy change into effect?
NO. All policy changes will be submitted to the insurance company for underwriting approval. Your policy change will not take effect until an Insurance solutions advisor has notified you.
I need to update my policy, how do I go about doing this?
You have two options. You can either contact a KTX Insurance Solutions broker directly at 1-866-456-6620 or you can simply use the Policy change form. To retrieve this form simply select 'Change your policy' on the left hand side and choose the insurance product you wish to update. Changes could include change of address, change in coverage, change of vehicle and more.
Will the policy change affect my premium?
Often a change will impact your premium. Removing a vehicle may lower your premium, while adding a driver may increase it.
